DEN WEISSEN ELEFANTEN HAT ES NIE GEGEBEN

DEN WEISSEN ELEFANTEN HAT ES NIE GEGEBEN is a photo-comic workshop led by Berlin-based artist Dina El Kaisy Friemuth for young people from Berlin-Mitte. The workshop focuses on the history of the galerie weisser elefant. How can the story of the communal gallery be told? Are there secrets that the current narrative has left out? And how can photo-comics create new stories? Participants will use the camera on their smartphones to create their own photo-comics. In the process, they will explore traces of the gallery in the immediate neighborhood, such as in the Underground Museum on Linienstraße. At the end of the workshop, a booklet will be printed, which will be added to the Kunst Raum Mitte collection. Copies can also be taken home by participants.
